This is the Official Earth Day (4/22/22) version of Genocide Campaign and a remix of The Hive off our debut release The Hive EP with the original Droid Killer lineup.

With Droid Killer working on their forthcoming full length album "The Terminator vs. The Preacher" there was a revisiting of the roots of the music and the story. The Hive is one of Droid Killer's most listened to songs but in retrospect it was their first track recorded in a high end studio (the songs Humandroid and Droid Killer were recorded at Serpent Garden's studio, Pure Trans Am Rock), recorded with Serpent Garden's equipment during the sessions for Serpent Garden's album Fidelity Black. Having to unpack and organize the session, I can speculate that there was some "good times" going on that day. The good times seemed to have the previous mix saturated in effects that surely was the fruits of that psychedelic evening. In a lot of ways, the original version of The Hive was cool and perfect for that time, the over the top effects made some anomalies of the studio entrance that made it perfect to open up that album. When I first found the session in the Black Halo Records archives, I checked it out and it was a lot to go through. So I'd kinda mess with it during my down time working on the new album. A month later and I had a new working mix. After listening, it was obvious it had to be paired with Genocide Campaign, it was the perfect outro track... and thus the Genocide Campaign EP was birthed.
